What Is Polkadot Africa?

Polkadot Africa is a community initiative that targets individuals from all over Africa who come together to learn, contribute, and build in the Polkadot ecosystem. We will support existing communities and builders, onboard and support new members, and guide them through the Polkadot ecosystem.

Whether you are a normie or experienced as a content creator, educator, or developer, Polkadot Africa offers an excellent space to expand your knowledge, develop skills, execute ideas or initiatives, and be part of something crucial to modern civilization.

Polkadot Africa aims to accelerate Polkadot's reach and growth in Africa by hosting regular spaces and local meet-ups, offering mentorship to both non-technical and technical individuals, hosting developer sessions and workshops, promoting collaboration with existing entities within Polkadot, and rewarding impactful contributors.

What Is The Goal Of Polkadot Africa?

Polkadot Africa aims to bolster an active community on the continent and empower members with the necessary knowledge and skills to contribute to Polkadot. Our goals include the following:

  1. Raise local awareness.
  2. Establish a foundation for diverse Polkadot communities in Africa with unique skills and interests.
  3. Facilitate educational initiatives.
  4. Attract and identify talent.
  5. Offer spaces where the Polkadot community from Africa can actively contribute.
  6. Encourage builders to solve local and regional real-life problems by leveraging Polkadot as the tech stack, leading to more adoption.
  7. Create a network of reliable local and regional Polkadot agents in Africa.
  8. Build relationships between stakeholders in the Polkadot ecosystem and Africa and local entities with Polkadot.
