We have partnered with WagMedia, a content creation hub on Polkadot, to give creators access to their dedicated onboarding platform. Through WagMedia's tiered content creation system, newcomers can join the Polkadot ecosystem and gradually build their skills and reputations.
To start your creative journey, it's essential to get the Creator Roleđź“ť on the Polkadot Africa Discord, become part of the community, and gain a basic understanding of the ecosystem. We recommend exploring the Polkadot Wiki and project documentation to build your knowledge.
On our Discord server, you'll find a curated list of projects organized by their services. Simply choose projects that interest you, follow them on X, research their work, and join their Discord communities.
Join the WagMedia Discord server and navigate to the Front Desk. Send a message to the concierge bot using the command !wagmi. To receive rewards, you must provide your X username plus two wallet addresses: one for Polkadot and one for EVM.
After completing registration with the concierge, you'll gain access to additional channels on the WagMedia Discord server. Head to the "New Here" channel to introduce yourself—be sure to describe your background and mention your affiliation with Polkadot Africa. Server access will be granted once all verifications are complete.

The Finder position is an entry-level role where you'll learn about the ecosystem and discover projects while earning DOT tokens. Top-performing finders are selected weekly to help write newsletters for the official WagMedia account.
Your main task is tracking the latest news about Polkadot and its rollups (parachains). When you find relevant news, share it in the appropriate WagMedia Discord channel with a summary and source link. Most updates will come from X (formerly Twitter). To find relevant accounts, check the list of affiliate projects under the Polkadot account and participate in Polkadot-focused lists and discussions.
Smart contract platforms like Astar and Moonbeam are also excellent news sources, as they host numerous projects you can report on. You can find additional Polkadot updates by exploring the accounts these platforms follow.
To establish yourself as a finder quickly, study how other finders share and document news and read summary articles covering the latest ecosystem developments.
