To be eligible for the meetup bounty, you'll need to meet all of the requirements - exceptions!
Organizers
- Your DOT address must have an on-chain identity.
- Organizers must have a broad knowledge of Polkadot and its projects, an understanding of OpenGov, etc.
- Active verifiable history of activity in the Polkadot ecosystem (working for specific Polkadot projects, contributions to various initiatives in the ecosystem, technical articles, activity on social media, connections with various people in the ecosystem, members of various Polkadot communities, etc.)
- While it's not required, joining in on ecosystem governance votes can boost your chances of receiving the meetup bounty.
- community growth.
✅ TIP: Always put effort into leaving a trace of your activities on your socials, keep them clean, and focus on growing your influence. Active, well-established, and connected members of the Polkadot community have a better chance of receiving funding.
Submission
- Apply as an individual, even if you represent a group.
- You must submit the proper and complete documentation we are asking for. Nothing should be missing.
- Submit your event a maximum of 30 days after it happens; everything submitted later might lead to rejection.
- You must have a broad knowledge of the Polkadot ecosystem.
- Your address, location, and attendance at a Polkadot event in your area (if one has been held) are required.
✅ Tip for a Successful Application: Be clear and transparent! Ensure your responses are concise, well-structured, and directly address the questions or requirements. Transparency shows honesty and builds trust.
Your meetup
- If you have never organized an event via our bounty, you should connect with us before you organize something.
- Events that exceed 1k USD in costs need to be pre-approved! Our bounty will cover a maximum of 1k USD, but we still need to be aware of the total cost. We recommend connecting directly with curators via our public channels.
- Events that are funded from multiple sources or are organized as a collaboration between projects from different ecosystems must also be pre-approved!
